My Grandpa my Inspiration

My Grandpa my Inspiration

A Poem by SoullessPrincess

He sits there in his old rocking chair that creeks every time he moves.
As he rocks he taps his long boney fingers
On the arms of the chair.
He had pale blue eyes, with an intense gaze.
His voice was deep and flowed like pages in a book.
His life was like a book, memories will last and smiles will fade,
Because life turns a different page. There’s no running, no looking back
He lived for his undying devotion, and will live through us in this dying age.
Tears will fall, but as the days go on, he will be in our hearts
And soon we will be with him once again.
