The Future

“Watching the children play,
I feel so much dismay,
knowing what the future
holds is nothing short of pain,
innocent and helplessness
are the words that come to mind,
knowing that this will disappear in very little time,
so why do we let our children
learn mainly the wrongs in life?
when will we finally learn that there’s nothing left to hide?
is it when all is lost and all is destroyed?
that then we will see the truth?
but all that’s left is anarchy
and nothing left to prove
so I watch unto them hoping for some change
but what happens to society?
as it diminishes over time.”
