Unexpected Pain

Unexpected Pain

A Poem by Dante Balintyne

The last few days have been killing me

Trying to hold in pain and let no one see

I can see the pain in my best friends eyes

Even as she tries to cover it with lies

Telling me she’s ok and that she’ll be fine

She is walking a very fine line

Trying to hide her real feeling

When she should be let it out so she can start healing

I will do my best to try and help as her best friend

I will be there for her always till the very end
