Conversations With Whom I Used to Be

Conversations With Whom I Used to Be

A Poem by SoulSplatter
"

"I can't go back to yesterday - because I was a different person then." - Lewis Carroll

"
What are you looking for, little girl?
Selfish little thing that the boys adore.
Pretty little pansies painted over your eyes
Love is just a game; cut out hearts, the prize.

What are you waiting for, little girl?
Everything you do, designed for appeal.
Manipulating maddened mind's with
things you don't even know how to feel.

Is this what you wanted, little girl?
Is life as superficial as your attitude?
Craving compliment can conquer the heart,
with an ego of this magnitude...

Nothing is real.

It's time to Wake Up, little girl.
Pull the pretty Pansies from your eyes.
Living, Laughing and Loving is LIFE in disguise.

Selflessness is happiness
Giving is receiving
Life reflects your actions
Believing is seeing

Time to wake up little girl within;
let go of lonely little landscaped views of the world.
Time to grow up and live life
like a big girl
