Picture Me In LaceA Poem by SoulSplatterAddiction
Opaque skies reflect anguish in her eyes,
shadowed by iced wing's last touch. It is jagged vulnerability that illuminates across her skin, Graceful lines now a distorted, hollow shell. Lewd acts line her addiction, endless catatonic simulations of desire, it fuels the fire. One disease for another. It is alone, in her hallucinated satisfaction, that she finally recognizes the silence. An obscure force that amplifies the abrupt pace of her heart. Severed sobs escape her cracked lips; they wallow in the condensation that streaks down to greet them. A vile need has engulfed her existence, only to leave her feeling empty. Incoherent babble quickly becoming demented wails as she tries to remember who she once was. In shaken surrender, she powders her nose once more. Admitting defeat to life's final blow. © 2013 SoulSplatterFeatured Review
