Dear Friend

Dear Friend

A Poem by DarkPoet

Dear friend
I sit staring at the moon
From a corner of the window in my room
Its been a while I wrote for and to you
So I'm asking just how do you do?
Its been long since I picked your calls
I went low,I got high and then I took the fall
I know you doubt that I care though I'm always there
I do but I have all my emotions bottled up by fear
Fear that if I open up and with you keep It real
It might eventually change the way you feel
And I will understand
You are hurting holding my hands from where I stand
You get tired of all the stories
And you are riled up with worry
You wish to see a better version of me
As I struggle to be all I can be
Your silence is most times a bother
It shifts me away from you farther
I know I can be quite a handful
And you have been very thoughtful
It wouldn't hurt to know what's up with you
That way I can feel I belong in your life too
Even though we don't get to see often
And I can freely brief you of all that in my life happens

Sometimes you don't know how or when the people who were so close to you suddenly turned to strangers. The sombre feeling in this us thought-proviking. Nicely written
