Agony

Agony

A Poem by DarkPoet

What does it take to find healing
For a heart weighed down by the load of trauma
What would it take for these wounds to stop bleeding
Leaving blood stains on the purest of wrappers

Where acts of kindness are welcomed with fear
For they must want something back or they disappear
And there is suffering from bouts of self doubt
Not really able to figure out what you are about

Searching for something to conciliate the dispute in your soul
Where, in there exists a very big hole
And you are constantly questioned of your reason for living
Of what exactly to the world you are giving

So you sink in shots of shots for quick fix
A bit of this and that all in the mix
And you look far and why for a means of freedom
But within you exists agony's established fiefdom
