The Color of Sadness

The Color of Sadness

A Poem by DarkPoet

What is the color of sadness?
It is neither blue, black or white
But exists thick patches of grey
When the sun is almost calling it a day

It manifests in different forms
Sometimes different from the norms
Like a pale face with tears flowing praying
to a God it lost its faith in
Like the cracking of a voice that has tarried howling

Like the face of the sky just before it rains
Heralding impending doom and pain
A river of loneliness drowning a lost soul
Like dark empty lines blurring visions and goals
