"Who is in love with you" I was once asked
I thought of you and all I said was no one
Love is not such an easy task
And all must be involved for its battle to be won

Will I have to shield my insecurities
And be afraid to show you any sign of vulnerability
I need to be sure of your commitment
As there is more to love than just plain excitement

If I share with you all of my uncomfortable truths
Will you be a strong support like a tree with firm roots?
Or Will you get tired and become nasty and condescending
Then finally leave me alone hanging?

I'm not a Joseph the great dreamer
In reality and love in its purest form,I'm a firm believer
In times of great crises
Will you be able to make Sacrifices?

This questions are for me as well as you
There's so much we both need to do
Though my disposition is most times facile
I stop at nothing to protect my heart so tender and fragile
