Mi Madre

Mi Madre

A Poem by DarkPoet

I dreamt of you in my sleep
I reached out to touch you and I tripped
Then you fizzled out into thin air
Though in my mind, you dwell here

Mi madre how is it like in heaven?
They say its a pure and safe haven
And I would like to join you in
Stay for some time to tell you many things

Without you here it is cold and brutal
Daily I'm reminded that having you would have been very vital
Still I cannot question the universe and fate
I abhor the fact that you are now described as late.

I could have had one to divulge my deepest fears without any judgment
You will come into my humble abode without from you any mockery's torment
All my walls and defense you'd see through
And I will always have you to run to

Through these years without you,I have tried to be strong.
The essence of your death I do not really understand
They say to question the creator is very wrong
Your demise has left me suspended in the air with no safe space to land.

Your parting is still a great mystery
accompanied by an unconsolable misery
Something you never intentionally chose to do
I wish just for one day you'd come see me if you could
