Malaise

On my back rests a heavy cross
I've been mandated to silently bear
Its crushing weight;i dare not share
For someone somewhere has it worse


With you i stand openly, secretly struggling
Alone crashing gradually to the floor
A must you insist ,i take on much more!
In malaise, i am required to keep forging


Hanging around me guardedly unguarded
Blaming it all on the voices in my head
Fighting today,and making up tomorrow
Every night i lay awake on my bed of sorrow


Penning verses of confusing words
In a futile attempt to express abstract thoughts
That constantly feel like a pile of rubbish
Which with condemning reviews these efforts are punished
