A Holiday In Herself

A Holiday In Herself

A Poem by The Black Twelve
"

A declaration of love to my soulmate.

"
When people ask if I celebrate Christmas, I tell them I celebrate my wife.

My will lets me want for nothing while I give all I can to her.
Support, love and reassurance in hard times,
A loyal friend and companion.

When people ask if I celebrate Thanksgiving, I tell them I celebrate my marriage.

I am thankful that I have such a woman at my side.
Caring so much for herself, but even more for me.
Forgiving my faults and letting me be free to work at them at my own pace.

When people ask if I celebrate Halloween, I tell them I celebrate the fun we have together.

We enjoy each other to the point it's scary to the observer.
A more badass gaming couple has never existed.
A love for things not of our culture we share to the fullest.

When people ask if I celebrate my birthday, I tell them that I celebrate the bond between us.

I can't feel closer to anyone, especially the woman two days my senior.
It couldn't be coincidence that we ended up together.

If a holiday is more than a day of the week month, or year,

If a holiday is more than another excuse to drain your wallet,

If a holiday is more than a means to grow fat in one meal

If it is anything that moves the heart, comforts the body and nourishes the soul,

Tanya is a holiday in herself.

                                                  Happy Jigglypuff Day
