Government, Where Art Thou?

Have you ever sat down and just looked at the corruption politics brings to our society? i mean turn on the news and it's there, rather it's your local news or world. Government just isn't what it was

Brow’s beaten ,

the elderly lady sits upon her pedestal.

All is forgotten but the true meaning of this stance.

A queen upon her rusty thrown,

ruling over all those beneath her.

Tragedy stricken amongst many,

peasants ruled by a worthless title.

A title that remains criticized.

As other nations claim their powers.

Presidents, emperors, dictators.

Ruling with the law of the land.

Or no rule at all.

Can a human really be bound by countless laws.

Writ that means nothing but when on paper.

Useless words that get jumbled, scrambled, and broken.

For even nature’s laws are to be torn to shreds with selfish will.

To govern or be governed is the question.

And the answer is simple. To not.   

For can a nation,

be it world-wide or local really be set in bounds?

When even the purest democracy is corrupt.

A fight for what’s right,

justified by political powers rather than our Constitutions.

A war on opinion,

rather than that of national safety.

As if a judge were to rule unjust.

Where is our system of clarity?

Wherever did our sanctity go?

Filth ridden pigs in their self righteous scum.

Lie forever in their safe holds.

While our nation lies in ruin,

while our world falls apart.

Maybe, it’s not simply because our planning.

For nothing can ever be wrong with a well thought out plan,

But it is and was our execution.

Poor and withered.

Or just maybe it’s our existence,

our being,

that proves to be the issue.
