Aching

Aching

A Poem by Marlena
"

When was the last time I kissed you, again?

"

When was the last time I kissed you?

I find I can’t remember

What can I do?

The taste of your lips

Or the sway of your hips

They fade with the hours like

Tears in the rain, temporary pain

How can I live life without my pulse?

A beating heart and everything else

My lungs breathe heavy when you aren’t near

The darkness caves and you still aren’t here

I forget things of you I should never have to

Softness of your skin,

Where one scar ends the next begins

Who was I before you came along?

Nothing, nothing, just a sad little song.

So what am I now that you aren’t here?

Just a broken lullaby of everyday tears.

Okay so...I know the rhyme scheme is iffy, and there are probably tons of things to improve but I like it this way for now. I mean, feel free to say what you think should be changed, but I'm getting over writers' block at the moment xD;;

Reviews are appreciated and will be returned o3o

Ps- Yep. Still a sap <3
