I'll always be...right here.

I've always tried to be

right here

so when you needed me

you'd have nothing to

fear.

So when you tried to push

me away

I vowed, still

I will be, everyday

right here.

When we start to

fade away

I will forever be

right here

and when days

turn to weeks

and finally years

I may be older

and colder

but I'll always be

 here.

The structure in this poem is perfectly formed. =] The line breaks fit in perfectly!
Perhaps take out the "right" in the last "right here" and just end the poem with here? :) It would be a smoother ending.

I know how you feel, i too have friends i've drifted away from---always hoping the'd realize i am always there for them...some do, some never notice.
That is life, everyone changes.
I really like the sentiment within this...the being there yet letting go.
