Let You Down

All my pain

Died in my arms today

And I smiled and let it fade

Because I didn’t care enough

To give it blood and life again

 

I told you I was strong enough.

And I told you I wouldn’t let you down

So tell me now,

Have I?

 

This time it isn’t just a calm before the storm

It’s a clearing in the forest

And it’s here to stay.

I thought this was a good poem. I know I have let people down...I feel bad for doing it, but I had to...like all those promises I had made...I failed. Anyways. I liked it. Thanks for sharing. :)
