What A...

What A...

A Poem by Marlena

It's pathetic

It's stupid and cruel

the words of a kid, right?

What a fool.

What a weakling

a desperate child

with power to be beautiful

when inspiration runs wild.

What a freak,

a creature lurking out of sight

wishing to be seen

and longing for light.

What an idiot,

What a freak

what a fool

what a pathetic little sneak

what a b***h,

what a w***e,

what a lying little s**t

It's cruel, and it's painful

but these names It will cut,

skin thick with invisible scars,

Names that are It's, that are mine, that are ours.

Names that are true, filled with lies-

-Filled with self hatred

It can't even breathe

Filled with regret and depression

she doesn't deserve to grieve.

Just leave It alone, just let It be

No, don't touch It,

It shouldn't be seen.

Just leave It alone, Just let It be.

It can't even breathe.

Just angry, kind of tired, felt like I needed to vent.

Take one good breath when possible, and let It live... I feel for you. My heart aches over your pains. There is no torment that compares to the torment experienced by the teasing, and name calling that takes place. And it is not limited to children. It destroys the confidence and self esteem of one. The very foundation of that person. Well done, Aveira. Outstanding.

You did vent very well. Anger and being pissed off in the same sentence. A excellent poem to read. Thank you.
