HeatA Poem by MarlenaAs I dance barefoot across the ground let everything I know tumble down.Red rolls across the ceiling like ember waves hot and burning reach for them feel pain and power thrum through my fingertips devastation I wish not to control skin cracks and turns black flaking off like dust and burning even more in the red waves around me it's a sea of red a sea of red as I dance barefoot across burning ground let everything I know tumble down it's the pits of hell the gates of forsaken angel feathers float through the air burning dark, burning black as my legs crumble they're soot and smoke fingers wrap tightly around a still cool hand offered from no where, a friend of something strange smoke invades my lungs as I breathe skin works over bones and ribs and muscles I am pulled free from a burning suffocation. If only they knew I started the fire.
