Cobwebs

Cobwebs

A Poem by Marlena
"

Take the picture fast before it fades like those minutes, like those days.

"

Finger the cobwebs like cotton candy

on the windowsill, attracting the dust

and settling in like the pain you know, still.

Sun sets over the trees

take the picture fast before it fades

like the minutes, like the days.

Let's raise our glasses to the day

fine wine turning bloody red in the sun

casting crimson shadows on our faces in all our fun

with nothing left to do but drink

So drink

enjoy

and take the picture fast, before it fades

Like the minutes, like those days.

Seems like a lazy day poem where your heart is so numb the days mean nothing. I remember those days...

Very nicely done. I like the flow of it and the imagery is really nice. Good work! ^^
