A Letter to You

to someone special.

I've had to let a lot go in the past years.

Friends, family, I'm almost surprised you're still around. I'm amazed I haven't convinced myself that you've hurt me in some sort of way.

I'd like to know why you're still here, but then I know you'd ask me the same. I don't need to ask anyway, if I did you would say "you" and I'd say the same. Thank you...

For dealing with me and my antics.

I know I'm strange; I talk to myself and dance to nothing in particular. I'd play the same song over and over, just for the sake of having it stuck in my head. I'll stay up until one or one thirty in the morning doing yoga, playing games or writing, or just listening to music. I scrutinize myself and you always say I'm crazy not for the other things but because I can't see the beauty you say I have. You're the best friend I'll ever have, and I can say I need you because it's true. And I love you.

Because it's true too.
