Shadow

Shadow

A Poem by Marlena
"

The Darkness whispered it's secrets to her, and the Light loved him even more.

"

The shadows came first

it seemed to stretch out

towards her Light

almost as a welcome

and moments later

it was gone.

The Light poured over the Darkness

caressing and soothing it

while the dark power lashed out

both angry and confused

the Light seemed to smile

it grew brighter

and while they sat

entangled

too breathless to move

the Darkness whispered his secrets to her

and the Light loved him even more.

I wrote this a while ago, probably some time last year, I edited it a bit but I really like it, I kind of feel it might be missing something, but I still think it's pretty much finished. :)

This is beautiful! the only thing that if you wish you could improve on is the character of the light and dark. Just make more of it. absolutely great!

This reminds me of an Impressionist painting.

Sometimes I think it is better when we leave a little something missing...gives the reader more to ponder, not to mention a little more mystique and intrigue. I like this, too. I feel it is well balanced like the Yin and Yang that it brings to my mind. Excellent write! : >)
