Dimly now, I hear it, soft against my ears but ringing like a drum, do you hear it too?

It's annoying, like a casing over me

I can't hear,

I can't speak

I can't breathe

But it beats like a drum

Do you hear it too?

Or am I going insane?

Author's Note

I'm sick XD and basically, I can't hear too well at the moment and it's driving me up the wall, mainly because I usually have beyond perfect hearing and I also have a fear of not being able to hear. I'm freaking out and going insane all at the same time. XD

I get your fear- about not being able to hear well.

I can relate to this because I have hearing-aids. And you've described the feeling very well. It's frustrating.
