Like Pumpkins

Like Pumpkins

A Poem by Marlena
"

Make me scream, make me fight, make me dream, I hate the night.

"

Like pumpkins you stare

bearing into me

hold me down,

make me scream

make me fight

make me dream

I hate the night

Hold me down

take me down

anger me and tear me apart

I swear if you touch me again

I'll rip out that s**t you call a heart.

Like a ghost you drift

you catch me

so swift

you beat me

make me bleed

trying to fill your dark need

and yet I tell myself its all right

there's always a moon

even in the darkest night.

Yes, my thought is that this has deep, dark, secretive implications. A particular subject matter that takes many forms. On a second reading it appears to go deeper and have another possible meaning. Either way it sounds like one has been violated!
The hatred and anger really are shown and felt. Sad, but Good poem!
