Gone

As I still have feelings for someone who has moved on but is my best friend who is also one of my ex’s it’s hard to manage being this close to them without being one.

Love will never end.

But the heart will,

Broken hearts and long nights,

Long messages and crying all night.

Hurting or not I still love you,

The love I have for you is unexplainable.

My heart is in pain,

Please make it go away.

You moved on,

But I have not.

I’m searching for love,

My heart is gone.

The pain of a love lost is so personal that though others have undergone the same lose the pain we feel is in many ways unique, different for each of us. I know we’re told that the anguish our heart feels right now will fade with time but it’s hard to truly believe that the sadness will ever go away. But if we allow the heart to heal and allow time to soften the scars we feel now, true love will come to us again.
