You’ll be missed...

You’ll be missed...

A Poem by Lou
"

This is a very touchy one from me, after I lost my father it got hard for me.

"
Depressing mornings and nights of pure hell

Your death caused me to want to die,

But I’ll stay alive.

This year hasn’t been the best,

But I feel empty, a empty chest.

No soul,

Nothing but just a big hole.

I want to die,

Not tomorrow but tonight.

I grab the blade,

And cut away.

Lou, you convey what I know many feel after losing a loved one---pain and despair replacing peace and hope. So, as you express here, many consider alleviating this temporary pain with a permanent, desperate act. The sad reality is the last thing the lost loved one would desire is the loss of loved one's life. Still, you so well convey the darkness that often takes over in these situations. It's a powerful piece but does leave the reader empty and wanting. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Robert.. the last thing your father would want is for you to follow. Honor him by living your life to the fullest.. hard actions to maybe swallow right now.. but you can do it.
