Goodnight Kiss 03-31-09

A poem that popped up after a good day spent with my boyfriend. I like it, some may not but w/e.

We have to say goodbye for the night,

We whisper the words,

You cup one side of my face and slowly bend in close,

Your free hand moves to cup the other cheek,

We touch noses and our eyes meet,

A soft smile slowly spreads over your face,

As we share a tender moment,

Your lips softly brush mine,

Once,

Twice,

You move back to whisper that you have to say goodbye,

You kiss me one more time before you go,

We say our I love you’s, and our goodnight’s,

 You reluctantly turn to leave and I already miss you,

But I smile because I have our sweet goodnight kiss to keep with me until tomorrow,

Where we will kiss again.
