Love Across the RoadA Poem by CentfieLove Across the Road In my fantasies She was always in my embrace In the middle of the road Her hips her small circle Smiling up at me Her front door closed to mates My virgin girl never went out at night My quiet mouse Cute, quiet, conservative One day through my window Courage came in. I stopped watching secretly. She stood mid-point of the road, Depressed, worried, lonely “How are you?” She sobbed I my arms, “I am pregnant.” Alien hands carried me to Venus The heat drained me. ‘Ignorance is bliss’ ‘Love is blind’ Releasing the feelings under my hat We moved to the safe side I crossed the road; to love © 2012 Centfie |
