Mama for me

from daughter to mother

Mama,
As I was growing safe and sound in you
You ate pumpkin leaves and liver
Beetroots and spinach for me
Though at times they made you sick
I made you suffer in pain as you
Let me into this world
I drank from your chest
You cleaned my poop and pee
Adolescence came, boys in my life
I did not listen to you at times
I thought I was missing out
Now I know, you fed me with knowledge too
Mama,
What you have done for me
Your sacrifice and suffering for me
Makes me smile for you dear mama
Mama
The umbilical cord was cut
But I am still part of you though away
You are for me, I am for you
All the pain I gave you, I am sorry Ma
All you do for me, I thank you Ma
