Smoke Alarm.

Smoke Alarm.

A Poem by Sophster300
"

A poem about just how un-valued smoke alarms are until they save a life/lives. :)

"

I woke up to a smoky mist

I gave a cough, and hit the floor

Knowing that I must persist

I crawled my way, to the door

I gathered up my children

I made it to the phone

I called for the firemen

And then let out a groan

Why was this happening to me?

What had I done wrong?

My house was now all smoky

As I dragged my kids along

The fire was put out

I then returned back home

I started to freak-out

Then laughed and changed my tone.

If it wasn’t for the smoke alarm

God knows where I’d be now

It was lucky we weren’t harmed

I’ll thank them all, somehow.

Fires are scary.
They grow so fast!
Lucky you're all okay.
Nice poem
I could feel the
intensity in
each line.
