The Car Park Tragedy

The Car Park Tragedy

A Poem by Sophster300

The turn of a wheel

The lift of a bar

The Family drive through in their new shiny car

Pushing a trolley

A father screams ‘HOLLY!’

The burning of rubber

The screeching of brakes

People often forget how many lives are at stake.

Poor Holly fell over

The car couldn’t stop in time

If Holly had looked she would have been fine.

As Holly lies in a hospital bed

The Doctor walks over and pronounces her...Dead L

Holly’s Dad began to cry

He couldn’t believe that Holly would die

On such an ordinary shopping spree

He grabbed hold of her wrist rather tightly

It was too late, nothing he could do

To bring back Holly, the cold statue.
