The Fictional Ego

The Fictional Ego

A Poem by Cassidy Jo

The Fictional Ego

My ego has never been this high

My dreams are filled with exceptional characters

Not the kind that surrond my real life

In my mind, I am at a high

Where I am on-top of the world

And no one dares push me down

Everyone in my dreams admire me

I have the perfect friends, family, and love life

Anyone could ask for

But when I'm awaken from this fantasy

I'm surronded by evil people

With evil expressions

To whom I do not recognize

I'd much rather go back to sleep

Where my ego is the high

And my life is perfect
