Dimensions of the Fingers

Dimensions of the Fingers

A Poem by Sophia Marie

Dimensions of the Fingers

Penetrate the devils layers, to find another place

filled with the levels he tries to hide, that belong to you.

I used to sit in church, anger seeping in, thinking I must be inundated in evil;

I must be filled with the devil and his makings.

There is no direction to follow on this tangent of good and evil,

it lives and breeds within us all, finding open crevices to seep within.

It’s our actions that dictate the working of what our brains decide

is the good and bad choices we will make, who is to say what is wrong or right?

A thorn that is stuck within us all, some pull on it struggling to be free,

others revel in its pain, and those not in step find the way to break beyond.

God and the Devil live within each other; there is no one right path;

loosing yourself in the will of destiny is the only way to find yourself.

An image of who you are and who you want to be can become tangled

in the meshed conception of what your mind conceives as your consciousness.

A reality living within your body that transcends the depths of physicality,

perfection is unattainable here, simply the discovery of the ultimate creations,

desires, passions, and fires that live within the workings of each fingers stroke.
