She GrowsA Poem by Sophia MarieShe Grows A rain, of sparkling gold spills out with morning. Leaf-light touch of wetted kisses pours forth. Cascading to the pooling waters that encircle feather fine petals.
The garden drinks in the daylight, soaking in spring’s tears. Each flower whispers the silence of a breeze, As the sun peeks out through smoky clouds.
The silvered stroke of morning dew, paints the stems slick, the leaf, branch, and spine of a thorn. Beads of water reach over the edge, dripping from the barbed tip.
Clear rain droplets spill out, lashing a passing praying mantis. It struggles in the vines, drenched in dew, it drinks the water from itself, taking it in, to be renewed.
Tangled in the emerald web of a struggle, for light, the weeds are ripped away, and her cancer dies; no longer breeding with the night.
The morning feeds new hope, as pearl light brings awakening. She grows as the clouds give to Springs birth, so pure and new.
