Unconditional LoveA Story by Soorya VermaWe always seek the love which is pure, divine and full of giving and receiving. This kind of love we can only get from our parents only. This is a short story which is a real-time experience.
It was Monday morning when I was travel from my hometown to Delhi. I got the reservation next to a family of four including the couple and their two sons. We were settled and the train moved. I love to travel solo because it always gives me the chance to explore myself. While thinking and talking to my inner self I start my journey. Observing outside, inside, talking to inner self the next station came. The train would be stopped here for 10 minutes.
A little boy asked his father for water. But the water bottle was empty. So his father went down the station to buy another water bottle. In the absence, his mother cares him and he was playing with his sibling. The moment was light and happy might be they were on tour. Anway everything was fine. I was busy on my phone checking news feeds. But as the time increases his father not returned. They were not much bothered as they kept patience. The train starts whistling. Time still increases and the train starts to move. But his father was still not there. Patience was loosened and the little boy asked his mother, "Mumma, where is papa goes and when he will come"? She replied in hope "very soon"!! The train moved and attain speed but no sign of his father there. I was also wondering where that man had gone. The couple also appeared good and matured as I was thinking something negative. Many times I heard that people left someone on the station and they itself flew from there. The train was at its full speed and there was no sign of his father. Both brothers were seriously tensed. The little boy starts crying and the elder brother made him calm and looking outside the window. I asked them to give me the number of their father, I'll call him and asked him to come with next train. Also, I'll make the conversation with them too. But they were all in deep pain that no one response me back. Her mother grabs the little boy in her arm so tightly and asked not to cry. It was really emotional to me. I know it was not the concern of too much worry because if we are living in cities or in metro then we have always the second option. An hour passed away but no presence of the head of the family. The train was at full speed and the sound of wagon also increases as the speed increases and their heartbeats too. The next station came and his father had not returned yet. Both boys were crying and were hopeless. But their mother had controlled her emotions. I was watching them and trying to talk with them but I received no response. The train stopped for 5 minutes and moved with speed but again hopes were dying of the children as their father still not there. Strangely something wet hit on the cheek of the elder brother and he looked back. His grief and pain change into love and cheer as his father was standing behind asking them to drink the water. The little boy was so much happy and give a tight hug to his father and eventually punched in his father's chest and asked him that where he had gone? His father asked him to drink water first then I'll tell you. Her wife's sticky eyes change into shiny eyes and she was smiling at him asking for the hug. Then he sits next to me and I asked why he was late then he replied he was caught another coach and due to the crowd he was unable to find the respective coach and when the train stop at the next station he find the coach. This is how the little boy finds his father's importance and this is how family developed on our earth on the basis of love, compassion, affection and sacrifice. © 2017 Soorya VermaAuthor's Note
