Move the Movement

Move the Movement

A Poem by Soorma

My eyes are open yet all I see is darkness

Blinded and chained by a system

You and I are all victims

We all march to the beat of ignorance

Unaware of what’s beyond these walls

Trapped by an illusion of freedom

And enslaved for profit

This system runs like a clock

Satisfying the needs of those at the top

While you and I eat the scraps given to us

We are nothing but pawns in their chess game

But now I’m starting to see again

I’m breaking the chains around my chest

Brick by brick I’m tearing down these walls

It’s time to march to the beat of knowledge

It’s time to make a change

It’s time for freedom

It’s time to move the movement
