I Loved You To DeathA Poem by Scarlet LetterDeath can bring out the worst in people.
I loved the way your eyes
Filled with adoration At each glance. I loved you to death. I loved when your smile Lit up the room When I walked in. I loved you to death. I loved being in your arms When they held me tight And I finally felt safe. I loved you to death. I loved you when you were cold Your heart turned to stone And your eyes became dull. I loved you to death. I loved you though it hurt When the darkness closed in And I was left with just a memory. I loved you to death. I loved you in the night When you were gone And I laid there shivering. I loved you to death. I will love you always But as I reach for my knife With my last breath I'll say... I loved you to death.
