LoveA Poem by Sonakshi Arora
She welcomed all with open arms
Her help was always there To feed, to support and to look after Fragile souls that needed care Her presence was like that of a shield Protecting from the bitter cold Her calming warmth was wanted Equally by young and old Her words were always gilded And eyes like shiny beads She'd stand up for everyone she knew And catered to their needs Yet somewhere she felt lonely But why? She did not know As if her weak and open heart Had been hit by a sharp arrow She'd cry herself to sleep every night Her tears embedded on the pillow She felt that she was transient Like a pen you'd use and throw As far as she could think And her broken heart remembers She never got the love back That she gave out to others © 2019 Sonakshi AroraAuthor's Note
