A Different Person

We are meant to be ourselves....

We are all trying to be someone else
Impersonating people we envy
We are all trying to be a different person
A person we were never meant to be

We copy their ways and styles
Making ourselves feel at par
But one must remember always
That it's our own selves that make us go far

For every person is placed on this earth
Who begs to differs and stands apart
And hence lies no point in copying others
As one must always stay true to the heart

To hold one's own identity and profile
Is something rather strange to us and unique
Because pretence symbolises falsehood
And is the way of the weak

So to be a different person altogether
And to run after the vice and folly
Is a preposterous thing to do,
Because I think, that isn't how we are meant to be
