BalloonsA Poem by Sonakshi AroraLose yourself in the skies...
Yellows, reds, pinks and greens
Have adorned the sky today Light spirited, happy and free With the winds they soar away I grab onto one of the them Wishing they take me somewhere new With eyes tight closed and bated breath A wave of mine bids everyone adieu Down below I notice a melee Hustling through the busy streets I smile above and continue ahead Dancing to the wind's rhythmic beats My ears sense the soothing sounds And my heart enjoys the beauty They take me to a scenic place The only escape left for me Bestowed with the gift of flight My friends hear my happy screams The very sight of balloons make me Lose myself into thoughtful dreams. © 2018 Sonakshi AroraAuthor's Note
