Broken ThingsA Poem by Sonakshi AroraA comparison of human nature with non-living things...
I have always kept everything with me
No matter how broken or damaged it may be Because I find my human senses tell Rejection can be a poisonous spell I have compared human nature to things And rejection is a big no for all the beings One simply doesn't live a life alone And display our grief with despairful moans I have had a tendency to discard derelicted stuff But now I can't; my emotions aren't that tough Because there was a time when I was so longer wanted I was made to be thrown away and felt absolutely dead I have started finding feelings in objects I know it is crazy, but I think my remote just wept But don't we, as humans ,start to crib? When someone manages to lose our grip I broke a vase recently and is still sits on the table Because I didn't throw my heart when it was unstable And all of this tells me something I never knew That broken things can be beautiful too
