My Morning Blues

An insight to my crazy mornings....

I didn't sleep enough last night
And not because I had work
It is because I decided to stick to technology
I think my brain went berserk

I stayed up watching television
And then I went through my phone
And yet I was confident enough
I would wake up without any morning moans

I first watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S
And then some Keenan and Kel
I guess I didn't realise
How next morning would be a hell

I didn't sleep and that wasn't my fault
You see, I had great internet speed
I wanted to keep up with all the shows
And had an unattended news feed

I made my self some popcorn
And filled my drinking stock
And I guess I ate so much that night
That I was unable to hear the alarm clock

But the next morning was miserable
I didn't realise waking up would be so hard
I had black circles underneath my eyes
My hair made me look like a drunkard

I took my bags and ran for school
Only to find a closed iron gate
I guess I've learnt my lesson now
And I'm never sleeping late

Hahaha!! It's quite relatable...although i don't stay up for anything other than Doraemon..that too not so late...and my Secret Seven storybooks...😂 I enjoyed this one... I'm totally in love with this poem..I really love Enid Blyton's storybooks... especially Secret Seven..I can stay up all night to read them 😂😂

I wish I had experienced this to tell much about it but I always go to bed early and wake up early. Only when it is weekends then its an exceptional. It seems interesting how you guys manage to stay away from scoldings when you are late.

loved this, you and my son are twins, he does all this at nights and in the morning I cannot wake him for love nor money hahaha - goes to school looking like a zombie - we've had to start taking his phone, remote control and laptop out his room each night - he's an addict too lol xx
