Sometimes, it is only one-sided love.

When we first exchanged glances
I should've asked, Were we ever meant to be?
When the rhythm of our hearts matched
And we fell for each other immediately
When we went out together on long drives
And my past flew back in a spree
I should've questioned my gut instinct
Were we ever meant to be?
When you'd peruse my looks not my thoughts
And my outer looks brought you glee
I should have known your gross nature
And asked, "Were we ever meant to be?"
When you captured me for hours long
And never let my soul set free
Fearing the power I'd have over you
I should've know we were never meant to be
