My ClassroomA Poem by Sonakshi AroraWelcome to my havoc-heaven!"Good morning, students Good morning to one and all." Says the class teacher As the first morning call. And as the students open their eyes They wish the teacher in sluggish voices The entire classroom of 41 students is filled with heavy, snoring noises "Today we shall start with Maths." Says the teacher with a scorn While the tired and lethargic students Can only whine, crib and mourn Mrs. Jones caught one boy sleeping with his hands on his head and Mrs. Jones scolded a girl Who joined two benches to make her bed! Every morning the children are tired And fight with their mothers for skipping school They rather not mug up and cram But instead stay illiterate fools On the first bench sits a boy Who never talks or screams Whereas the last benches are filled with students Lost in their own dreams! In the middle row sit some girls Who steal and smuggle tiffin-boxes God knows why they come to school When they are as cunning as those clever foxes! And as soon as the bell goes off The students wake up and smile with glee As if they were never tired Because now it was time for P.T! Welcome to my lovely class Where every day we have some fun Sometimes we enjoy so much that Even all the teachers run!
