Go Away Cancer 💔A Poem by Sonakshi AroraAnd sometimes, as my grandpa says, you just have to hold on...
When the very first time I was born
My grandpa came to me He whispered softly in my ears And told me I was very pretty He'd love me so dearly And take me out for ride My face would be screaming "He's my dada" with pride We'd spend so much time together He'd tell me lovely tales Of fairies and castles and dragons That received heads in their mails But then one fine day a monster came And took all joy away again My dada lost his glossy smile And always looked in pain Cancer did that to him It made him very weak So much so that he couldn't walk Sit or stand or speak I cannot see him suffering now It has almost been a year My ears have went high and dry To make his voice be heard But still he smiles and laughs And tells us he is very strong And makes it pretend as if that Nothing has ever been wrong And so when I see the shine in his eyes And knowing that he tried I'd still shout with my heavy voice "He's my grandpa" with utmost pride © 2017 Sonakshi AroraAuthor's Note
