Exam Blues

Exam Blues

A Poem by Sonakshi Arora
"

Exams are a haunting as well a daunting phase in every student's life. A piece I wrote which conveys my struggle when the exams season is just around the corner.

"
All these books drive me berserk
My brain has gone insane
And I can't remember all these pages
Oh ! Exams are causing me so much pain
I don't want to know wars started
Or how a viceroy died
Forget about tenses or verbs
Or what happens when a no. Is multiplied
My brain pleads me to stop
But the date sheet gives me baleful looks
Can someone please get me out of here
And tell me how to get rid of my books?

one really honest piece to which most student would agree and relate Ms.Sonakshi. I really admire the way you have put down your frustration. Good use of vocab here!
as for the grammatical errors,
Oh!(no space)
"number is multiplied"(PEOPLE wouldn't greet short forms well)
overall excellent job! just nailed the feelings out of me!!
I had written similar in class 7 or 8-

EXAMS
exams are the roots of fight
that makes a studious student unwillingly diet
exams make the student tensed
and the parents depressed
exams make a teacher shout
and the student feel shame about
exams make a scholar admired
and the teacher proud
exams give a chance
to those who study at a glance
the words that fear most of the students is
FAIL or PASS

Oh my god. Next time when I have exams I am going to write poetry to relieve my stress. And maybe in my answer sheets so that the person who corrects be impressed with poetry and give me marks just kidding to divert you out of your stress. ☺
By the way I love this poem.
