Worth

Here is a poem for anyone who feels they aren't worthy enough. We all are worth and have a special role to play in our lives.

So many times you have fallen down
So many times become low
So many times people have used you up
And your hope is now just stunted growth
They told they'll be there
Because of your friendly profuse
But what they didn't tell you was
They'll leave when you are no longer of use
And all this times we lie to some
That we had their back from birth
And how many times my darling,
Will you let them define your worth?
You aren't worth because you always help
You are worth because you stay
And they aren't worth to get your help
Or define you this way
And here as I write with bloodshot eyes
Promise me one day
You'll never define someone's worth
Because they couldn't help you in your way.
None of us know that battles other fight
Outside or inside their minds
But please, for the love of God,
Always just stay kind
