Sons of Thunder

Something that just popped into my head, enjoy.

Sons of Thunder go to war
ride their ships, tall and bold 
come in the name of Thor
kill the weak, enslave the old 

Blood lust must be sated
axes sharp, tempers high
all they had anticipated
enemies scatter before their cries

All will crumble and burn
this land will run with blood
for this is what they yearn
and no one can stop the flood

When your lands are ash
and your people are slain
never forget the battles clash
or where these warriors came

For the Sons of Thunder have been to war, enemies torn asunder;
They are the chosen of Thor, the bringers of the thunder.

The way you tell the story ---
and the usage of the rhyme ---
within this scene ---
creates for the reader ---
the scenery of the battle ---
liked how the end stanza ---
differs from the rest...
gives the final touch of this saga...

oooooh a poet eh? That is always interesting to see.
Also, never before in my life have I read such a bad a*s viking poem! I am really glad that they aren't coming after me, I would be terrified. You put a picture of these strong ruthless men, toting huge weapons that could cleave me in half and frankly, I would prefer to avoid them.
