Sons of Thunder

Something that just popped into my head, enjoy.

Sons of Thunder go to war
ride their ships, tall and bold 
come in the name of Thor
kill the weak, enslave the old 

Blood lust must be sated
axes sharp, tempers high
all they had anticipated
enemies scatter before their cries

All will crumble and burn
this land will run with blood
for this is what they yearn
and no one can stop the flood

When your lands are ash
and your people are slain
never forget the battles clash
or where these warriors came

For the Sons of Thunder have been to war, enemies torn asunder;
They are the chosen of Thor, the bringers of the thunder.

I noticed the comment about the show "Vikings".. It leaves all a bit lusty and blood thirsty! I can hear the thunder in drums....I can feel the intensity of war. I was born in the sign of Aries. Always feeling a bit warrior underneath. Your piece stirs at it. Makes me wanna march. Makes me wanna roar. Thank you for bring something true to self my way. It's a wonderful balance to all the love and roses.

Hah, well maybe it's my Celtic roots showing through my work! This was actually inspired by the TV show, Vikings. Glad you liked it though!

I am of Celtic origin on both my mother and fathers side, and we are all, my family that is.. pretty *into* it. Never seen the show though. Definitely liked it! Reminded me of the song Cursum Perficio by Enya.

Well i'm Welsh myself so i can relate. The majority of Welsh people are extremely patriotic and true to their Celtic roots. The show is worth watching, it's not really historically correct, but it's very entertaining.
