Misguided

Misguided

A Poem by OnTheEdgeOfTime

The Rain Shadowed My Heart That Night

Storm Clouds Hiding The True Thoughts

My Eyes Shut Like Windows

Crying In The Doubt I Had Believed

Blood Dripping On The Broken Staircase

Pathways Misguided By Lies

While I Stood In The Halls Of Belief

Pieces Of My Broken Soul Leading Me To My Insurrection

My Mind Echoing My Past Involvement

Frustration Written On The Celings Of Silence

There Was No Purpose For Running While My Spirit Lay Broken

I Was Hurt Beyond My Secure Walls Of Protective Measures

Nothing In This World Could Release Me From Its Clutches

Truly Lost Beneath Ancient Pages Nightmares

Sometimes I Dreamt Of These Future Time Punishments

Distance From The Serenity I Searched For

They Attacked Me With Their Scarce Plagues

Denying Entry To The Poison That Attempted To Seal My Solution

As The Daylight Overcame The Repeated Lightning

New Moments Dawned Breathtaking Skies Awakening

Fading The Unforgotten Misery

Upon The Mastery Of Corruption

While I Bid The Time Consumption Farewell

The Stars Aligned Into One Beam Of Sorrow

Putting Me Back To My Undisturbed Sleep...

Wow. So much great description in this piece. It was practically over-flowing with imagery.. Wonderfully written. :)
