Internal struggles

Internal struggles

A Poem by Somebrownnerd
"

Spirituality cannot be understood, without the torment of life.

"
Those self serving mantras,
what pain are you delivered from?

It was not until then,
when the subtle serrated thread of this world,
coerced its way around my neck;
That I knew I was fooled.

Tightening its grip, it ripped at my bronze fabric,
the very soul of my animus, lost its tenure;
and Screamed its way from my corpse.
To these knees I fell, quivering as life blood simmered.
Forcing a whisper, "Lord hear my prayer".

That moment of illogical defeat,
The instrument of torture snapped.
Falling gently to my face,
I lay in peace.
